Lloydminster Healthcare Auxiliary Quilt Raffle Earns Big Dollars for Patient Comfort!

The Lloydminster Healthcare Auxiliary’s 2011 Quilt Raffle earned $4,400 for patient comfort enhancements in Lloydminster Hospital. Pictured is the members of the Lloydminster Healthcare Auxiliary. 1st Annual Hartnell & MacArthur Celebrity Golf Classic, presented by Fountain Tire, donates big to the Health Foundation!

The 1st Annual Hartnell & MacArthur Celebrity Golf Classic, presented by Fountain Tire, was a tremendous success. Over $200,000 (net) was raised for local charities. The LRHF received a large portion of the funds, which will be invested into the busy Maternity Department in Lloydminster Hospital. Lloydminster Lion’s Club Makes Generous Donation to Intensive Care Unit- Lloydminster Hospital

Lloydminster Lion’s Club President Bill Harvey presents LRHF Representative Kristine with a cheque for over$10,000. The donation is to be invested in the Intensive Care Unit, in Lloydminster Hospital. Funds were raised through the Lion’s Club’s “Border Bike Raffle”, which was held in conjunction with their 5th Annual “Border Bike Rally”. Thank you to all the members of the Lloydminster Lion’s Club, and for all of those who purchased raffle tickets!

Miles Schiller Investors Group presents the 1st IG Comedy Night Fundraiser

This year’s IG Comedy Night Fundraiser was hosted Friday, September 23, 2011, and raised over $13,000 for Physician Recruitment for our community! Thanks to Miles Schiller and the team at Investors Group, as well as the tremendous comedians who performed, for doing their part to raise funds to help bring doctors to our community.

Lloydminster Ladies Charity Open Raises Record Proceeds!

On Saturday, June 11, 2011 the sun was shining brightly as the Lloydminster Ladies Golf Club hosted their 4th Annual Ladies Charity Open. Proceeds of the event were donated to the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation, where they will help care for cancer in our community. The theme this year was “Rainbow of Ribbons”, and our ladies definitely took the theme to heart! Thanks in part to a hole-in-one scored by Lorraine Quinney (Sponsored by AVIVA Insurance), the tournament raised a record breaking amount: $23,350.88! Thank you to all the lady golfers, the Ladies Golf Club executive, the staff at the Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre, our volunteers, and all sponsors and donors.

Miles Schiller Investors Group Does it Again!

The Miles Schiller team at Investors Group recently hosted the 4th annual “Dinner in London & Paris” fundraiser. The lucky winners of the trip for two to Paris and London were Scott and Sherry Wilkinson. $7,606.15 was raised for cancer care in our community. The Cutter Rally for Cancer Raises Funds for cancer screening in our community

Despite chilly temperatures, families and friends came out to the 7th Annual Cutter Rally for Cancer in support of the fight against cancer. The Committee’s gift to the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation will be invested in the Endoscopy Department in Lloydminster Hospital, where early detection and cancer screening is an every day occurrence.

Tough Enough to Wear "Pink" Hockey Tournament raises funds for the Inaugural Mammography Program and the Community Cancer Centre!

This year the Tough Enough to Wear Pink Hockey Tournament Committee decided to support cancer care in our region, and donated the proceeds of their annual tournament to the Mammography Program and Community Cancer Centre in Lloydminster Hospital. Shopper’s Drug Mart Tree of Life Campaign a Huge Success!

Thank you to the staff team and customers of Shopper’s Drug Mart (Lloyd Mall location) for their generous support of the 2010 Tree of Life Campaign! Your donations to this fundraiser will be invested in the Mammography Program at Lloydminster Hospital. Having this service in our community will help reduce the need for travel to larger centers such as Saskatoon or Edmonton. Thank you for your support!

ATCO Electric Donates to the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre Track Lifting Project!

ATCO Electric recently donated to the Track Lifting project at the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre. Track Lifting assists residents with limited mobility, and allows caregivers to safely move them to their bed, wheelchair, bath, washroom, or chair. Wal-Mart Supercentre Donates Handmade Quilt to Community Cancer Centre!

Lloydminster Wal-Mart Supercentre Charity Committee recently donated a beautiful handmade quilt to the Community Cancer Centre. Wal- Mart employees pitched in and created unique quilt squares through drawing, stitching, or quilting, and the squares were then sewn together. This quilt was given to a deserving patient, and will be enjoyed for many years to come. ADM Donates Brand New Stuffed Toys for “Poke Chests” At Lloydminster Hospital!

ADM employees recently donated brand new stuffed toys for the “Poke Chests” in Lloydminster Hospital. When a child receives a “poke” (or a needle), they are encouraged to take a toy home with them. ADM employees were encouraged to bring a brand new stuffed toy to their company Christmas party. On behalf of the children, thank you to the staff at ADM for their generosity! 3rd Annual Cupcakes for the Cause Makes a Sweet Donation To the Heart Health Initiative!

Bakery Staff at the Lloydminster & District Co-Op Marketplace Bakery are pleased to present the LRHF with a cheque for the proceeds of this year’s “Cupcakes for a Cause!”  A record-breaking number of cupcakes was sold through this year’s promotion, and the proceeds will be invested in the Heart Health Initiative.
